Font conference
Designers will like this video. If you're not a font geek you probably won't get it. What's astounding to me is how much time and effort somebody put into this.
A former NINA award winner, 17-year veteran photojournalist Scott Hardesty (formerly with Sun Times News Group/Pioneer Press/Doings) has launched a new website, OnLaGrange.com, exclusively covering the up-and-coming Chicago near west suburb of La Grange, Illinois. His news editor/blogger is another former NINA Best News Story winner, longtime 26-year veteran journalist James Pluta (formerly of GateHouse Media/LIFE/Press Newspapers, Naperville SUN and City News Bureau of Chicago). Check out the site and let them know what you think.
I'm the adviser for the Northern Star, the daily student newspaper at Northern Illinois University. I also teach journalism classes in the NIU department of communication, and am a free-lance writer/editor/photographer.
