Received an e-mail this week from an editor who's looking to outfit his news staff with mojo (mobile journalist) kits. The question was, how to deal with the cost of laptops equipped with phone cards. If you're doing mojo kits at your place, have you found the phone cards to be a necessary component? Do all reporters get the kits, or do you assemble a handful of kits and then allow them to be checked out as needed?
Basically, how do we take this step without breaking the budget?
